The DEC Program in Massachusetts began in 1995. The program started with just two DREs, and today has grown to
109 certified DREs, 19 of whom are DRE Instructors.
In 2016, there are three more DRE schools planned in New England:


The next MA. DRE School will be held June 20 - 30, 2016, at Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, MA.
The application deadline is May 15, 2016


Rhode Island will be hosting a DRE School April 18 - 28, 2016 in Providence, RI.
New Hampshire will be hosting a DRE School in August 2016, in Concord, N.H.

Drug Impairment Training for Educational Professionals (D.I.T.E.P.) is now being offered to school districts in Massachusetts. Check out the D.I.T.E.P. link for information on this exciting program.

Massachusetts completed another DRE School in July 2015, graduating 17 students. The class was held at Salem State College, Salem, MA.





The Massachusetts Drug Recognition Expert Association is a non-profit group, dedicated to promoting Drug Recognition Experts in Massachusetts. Non profit status (501 C3)is pending. All funding is obtained through private funds and donations.
