The DEC Program in Massachusetts began in 1995. The program started with just two DREs, and today has grown to
77 certified DREs, 26 of whom are DRE Instructors.
In 2014, there are three DREs schools planned in New England:


The next DRE School in Massachusetts will be held June 16 - 27, 2014, at Salem State University, Salem, MA.

New Hampshire is hosting a two DRE Schools, the first will be March 31 - April 10, 2014 in Concord, N.H.
The second school will be August August 19 - 29, 2013.in Concord, N.H.

Drug Impairment Training for Educational Professionals (D.I.T.E.P.) is now being offered to school districts in Massachusetts. Check out the D.I.T.E.P. link for information on this exciting program.

Massachusetts completed another DRE School in 2010, graduating 21 students. The class was held at Camp Edwards ANG / Otis Air Force Base, Bourne, MA.

The Massachusetts Drug Recognition Expert Association is a non-profit group, dedicated to promoting Drug Recognition Experts in Massachusetts. Non profit status (501 C3)is pending. All funding is obtained through private funds and donations.
