The DEC Program in Massachusetts began in 1995. The program started with just two DREs, and today has grown to
77 certified DREs, 26 of whom are DRE Instructors.
At this time, there are no DRE Schools planned in Massachusetts.
In 2012, there are three DREs schools planned in New England:

New Hampshire is hosting a DRE School April 2 -12, 2012.
Connecticut is hosting a DRE School April 23 - May 4, 2012.
New Hampshire is hosting a DRE School August 13 - 23, 2012.

Drug Impairment Training for Educational Professionals (D.I.T.E.P.) is now being offered to school districts in Massachusetts. Check out the D.I.T.E.P. link for information on this exciting program.




Massachusetts completed another DRE School in 2010, graduating 21 students. The class was held at Camp Edwards ANG / Otis Air Force Base, Bourne, MA.

The Massachusetts Drug Recognition Expert Association is a non-profit group, dedicated to promoting Drug Recognition Experts in Massachusetts. Non profit status (501 C3)is pending. All funding is obtained through private funds and donations.
